RAPTOR is a flowchart-based programming environment, designed specifically to help students visualize their algorithms and avoid syntactic baggage. RAPTOR programs are created visually and executed visually by tracing the execution through the flowchart. Required syntax is kept to a minimum. Students prefer using flowcharts to express their algorithms, and are more successful creating algorithms using RAPTOR than using a traditional language or writing flowcharts without RAPTOR.

When Gouri’s sister Radhika dies shortly after her marriage into the family, her father, Ambattu Thampi, begs Ramankutty to call off the wedding. Ramankutty makes the painful sacrifice of publicly breaking the engagement, falsely blaming Gouri's relationship with her cousin Unni (Kunchacko Boban). The resolution of this conflict, involving a near-fatal accident and a deathbed wedding, has become one of the most emotional segments in Malayalam cinema.
The heart of the movie is the romance between Ramankutty and (Navya Nair). Their families approve of the match, but a tragic family history—a "curse" where women married into the Thekkedathu family die young—creates a dark hurdle.
Set against a vibrant rural backdrop, the film follows (Dileep), a charismatic wedding planner who runs a family-owned catering and events business. The story unfolds through an aged Ramankutty's eyes as he narrates his life's most pivotal chapter to a group of teenagers. Release Date: December 20, 2002. Genre: Romantic Comedy / Family Drama. Director: Shafi.
Dileep, Navya Nair, Kunchacko Boban, Lal, and Innocent. The Plot: Romance Meets Superstition
The 2002 film remains a crown jewel of Malayalam romantic comedy, celebrated for its evergreen humor and the legendary "Ponjikkara" character. Directed by Shafi and written by Benny P. Nayarambalam , the movie is a staple of Malayalam pop culture, so much so that a 4K remastered theatrical re-release is slated for 2026. Kalyanaraman (2002): An Overview
One cannot discuss Kalyanaraman without its stellar ensemble cast, which delivered some of the most quotable dialogues in the industry. Full cast & crew - Kalyanaraman (2002) - IMDb

Did you know RAPTOR has modes? By default, you start in Novice mode. Novice mode has a single global namespace for variables. Intermediate mode allows you to create procedures that have their own scope (introducing the notion of parameter passing and supports recursion). Object-Oriented mode is new (in the Summer 2009 version)
RAPTOR is freely distributed as a service to the CS education community. RAPTOR was originally developed by and for the US Air Force Academy, but its use has spread and RAPTOR is now used for CS education in over 30 countries on at least 4 continents. Martin Carlisle is the primary maintainer, and is a professor at Texas A&M University.
